Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery is Carlisle’s premier visitor attraction. Set in beautiful gardens, Old Tullie House is home to an impressive collection of important Pre-Raphaelite art such as the beautiful Jacobean staircase. From fine art to interactive fun, there’s something for everyone, as the newer buildings in the Tullie House grounds are home to many exciting interactive games and features for children of all ages including permanent exhibitions of Roman artefacts and the social history of Carlisle and touring exhibitions. See the world famous cursing stone for yourself, and take a trip to the underground Millennium Gallery where the whispering wall can tell you tales from Cumbria from many years ago. School and group visits are welcomed. Contact the Tullie House Museum directly or visit the Tullie House Museum website for more info. Kids under 18 gain free entry when accompanied by a paying adult.
