What will you be doing this half term week?
This venue was gradually transformed into a cosy theatre with a good sized stage and the best light gas mantles could provide. It took another fifty years to acquire our first proper dressing rooms. The advent of television in the 60's hit the stage very hard, because live entertainment was often accompanied by hard seats and ice-cold feet.
